Stride —
A Night with the BrandLab
Role — Art Director, Designer
Services — Branding, Event Design
Challenge — Create a lasting name and logo as well as event branding to build on each year for The BrandLab’s spring fundraising legacy event that leaves a lasting impression of celebration, education and inspiration.
Concept — The BrandLab’s mission is to help empower young talent from Indigenous, Black, Brown, AAPI, Hispanic and Latinx backgrounds to join and gain experience in the advertising industry. With this in mind, our creative team utilized short and powerful headlines, striking photography of young people, and overlayed bright colors to showcase the journey these students are embarking on.
Three concepts were presented to The BrandLab and the overwhelming favorite was Stride’s name and visuals. Stride’s name reminds us of moving forward, and the visuals show electrically vibrant colors overlaying dark backgrounds, a metaphor for the student’s journey moving into the ad industry.
Along with the logo, our creative team chose a primary and secondary headline type treatment to lean into the black-tie party feel of the fundraiser. The simplicity of the paragraph type pairs well with these display fonts.
Along with the type treatments and vibrant colors, our team created custom gradients and spliced images, furthering the theme of movement.
The creative team created more than 15 assets for the event, including physical and digital invites, social templates, an event website, auction paddles, and the event program.
Grand Total: $34,830
